North Shore Regiment (NSR) – Battle Dress Jacket and Equipment

Original WWII North Shore Regiment (NBR), 3rd Canadian Infantry Division battle dress jacket and web gear, named to Pte. Arnold James Barton (service number G-600592) from Coal Creek, New Brunswick. He enlisted with the 25th Anti-Aircraft Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery (RCA), in August 1941. He went overseas to the UK in January 1945 and was deployed to Northwest Europe from 24 February 1945 (most likely the Netherlands). He was awarded the France and Germany Star and, after the war, served with the Canadian Army Occupation Force (CAOF) in Germany. The Battle Dress jacket is in worn condition and shows clear signs of use. All insignia are original and period-applied, including English-made embroidered shoulder titles, melton 3rd Canadian Infantry Division formation patches, and CAOF bars. The jacket also features a Good Conduct chevron on the lower left sleeve and four years’ service chevrons. Maker markings and date are present but faded. The web equipment is in field-used condition, with most components marked with his service number or name. Field-used, named equipment is increasingly difficult to find.

A very nice North Shore Regiment uniform and equipment grouping.
