Parachute Regiment ‘Airborne’ Battle Dress – Dated 1943

3.295,00

Original WWII British Parachute Regiment battle dress. The battle dress tunic is made in Canada and dated 1943 in size 7. Canadian-made uniforms were highly regarded by British troops for their superior quality and warmth compared to British-made versions. The tunic features original, period-applied insignia, including mid-war embroidered Parachute Regiment shoulder titles. These titles were introduced in late 1943 to replace the earlier “Airborne” shoulder titles worn by the Parachute Regiment. This particular style was eventually replaced by the more well-known dark blue-on-light blue Parachute Regiment shoulder titles and with printed Airborne Division formation patches to both sleeves with a wingon the righ upper arm. The tunic is in very good condition, likely having been worn as the soldier’s Best Battle Dress. There is minor moth damage above the waist belt buckle. Comes with an original red coloured lanyard.
