Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada – Battle Dress Jacket, Trousers and Belt

Original WWII Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada (QOR) Battle Dress set, consisting of jacket, trousers, and web belt. This is an original, period-badged example featuring outstanding British-made embroidered “Queen’s Own Rifles” shoulder titles, CANADA shoulder titles, and melton 3rd Canadian Infantry Division formation patches with Canadian Army Occupation Force (CAOF) bars worn beneath. Rank insignia includes Sergeant chevrons, along with an original wound badge. The collar has been tailored with a black lining, a very unusual and distinctive feature. The Queen’s Own Rifles (QOR) Museum holds a comparable example in its collection. The jacket is in good used condition and shows moth damage. It is maker-marked “Tip Top Tailors”, dated 1944, Size 11. The trousers are in used condition and show moth damage. The large front pocket has been period removed, and there is damage to the reverse waist area (see photos). Manufactured by “Workman”, dated 1943, Size 8. The web belt has been period blackened, a traditional practice associated with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada.

A desirable example from a hard-to-find regiment.
