R.A.F. 1941 Pattern Flying Boots – Size 10

Original WWII pair of R.A.F. 1941 Pattern Flying Boots in very good condition. This pattern was introduced to the Royal Air Force during the Second World War and became particularly popular with Bomber Command, earning the nickname “bomber boots.” This pair remains in very good condition, showing minor signs of wear. The suede uppers are well-preserved. The sheepskin lining retains all of the original wool. The rubber galosh section, which runs around the boot where it joins the sole, is in very good condition — a feature often found damaged on surviving examples. Both boots retain their original, fully functional zippers and come complete with the original leather ankle straps. The soles are original and marked “Itshide, Petersfield.” The leather flaps behind the zippers each bear the War Department broad arrow marking and the size “8.” The RAF stores code “10148” is also present.
