Receiver Telesonic – Dated 1944 – YA4915
Original WWII British ‘SOE’ Receiver Telesonic was made in 1944 for listening to enemy telephone conversations. The device with its wire aerial extended over a telephone liner, picked up any conversation. This the operator could then hear on his earphones. The device worked on the principle of induction when placed in close proximity to telephone lines. These in the 1940s were usually wingle not multi-flex connecting field or local telephones. This Telesonic is in very good condition, and is a 1944 dated example. Serial number 2248 by M.E.C. Comes with its web carrying strap. The instruction plate is present, though not firmly attached.
