SOE Jumpsuit – RARE two different camouflage schemes
€6.000,00
Original World War II British-made jumpsuit, designed for use by agents of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS). Commonly referred to as “Striptease suits,” these jumpsuits were worn over civilian clothing by secret agents parachuted into occupied territories. They were intended only for use during the jump and were quickly discarded upon landing. This particular example is crafted from canvas with a hand-screened camouflage pattern. Interestingly, it incorporates two different camouflage schemes—a rare feature for SOE jumpsuits, more commonly seen on Denison smocks. The suit remains in very good condition, complete with its original backpack and neck buckle strap (often missing on surviving examples). All three zippers are fully functional. The small pouch on the left lower arm, intended to store a knife, is intact, though the cord is missing. The left sleeve shows a large but well-executed repair. It would be a challenge to find a better example!
Overall, this jumpsuit displays bright, vivid camouflage and minimal signs of wear—a very rare find in this condition. One of the hardest-to-find uniforms from the WWII era.
