SOE / OSS Jumpsuit – Striptease suit

Original WWII British-made jumpsuit, designed for use by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS). Commonly referred to as “Striptease suits,” these jumpsuits were worn over civilian clothes by secret agents parachuted into occupied territories. They were intended for use during the jump and were quickly discarded upon landing.

This particular jumpsuit is crafted from heavy duck canvas with a hand-screened camouflage pattern. It remains in very good condition, complete with its original backpack and neck buckle strap. While the right-side zipper functions well, there is minor damage to the lower section (approximately 5 cm) that we have chosen not to fully test, and a slight defect at the top of the left zipper, therefore we have not test to open this zipper (no issues putting this suit on a mannequin). Additionally, some of the press-studs are either oxidized or have pulled through the fabric.

Despite these small flaws, this jumpsuit is a rare and exceptional example of WWII British uniforms, featuring very nice green camouflage. One of the hardest to find pieces from this era!
